Peppermint Pass Out

What better concert to get slammed at then Dave Matthews ? A friend of mine arranged for a school bus to pick us up for transportation to and from the concert. We started drinking nice and early at his place before the bus came. Around 3pm, we loaded up the alcohol and headed out.
There are about twenty of us and we’re drinking at a steady pace when we arrive at the grounds. With hours to go until the concert, we continue. My downfall came when we busted out the Peppermint Patty shots. In order to do this, the person imbibing simply tilts their head back. Then I pour a shot of peppermint schnapps and a nickel-sized drop of chocolate syrup in their mouth. They swish it and swallow.
As I’m going around pouring these shots, I’m taking them myself as well. I come to realize later that peppermint schnapps is about 60 proof when I thought it was more like 20 proof. Those shots I was ripping hit me fast. We all head into the concert and two of us immediately lose everyone we’re with. The place is jam packed and there is no chance of seeing anyone until after. We’re drinking double-whiskeys now and barely walking straight. I can honestly say that I remember hearing maybe two songs and that’s it.
After the concert, we make our way back to the bus. I’m housing pretzels while we wait. Once everyone is there, we head back to town. It’s night time now and everyone is drunk. I’m sitting in a seat by myself, obviously hammered and tired. Then, uncharacteristically, I pass out and miss the entire ride home.
We get back and the driver has to wake me up after everyone else has gotten off the bus. With most people heading home to pass out, a buddy and I figure to continue this ordeal and head straight to the bar (as if I needed another drink). Fuck my liver.
